THE

CAMPAIGN

CREATING A FUTURE FOR THEATRE IN DAYTONA BEACH

Beach Street Repertory Theatre's Setting The Stage campaign seeks to raise initial funds to establish the only professional theatre in Volusia County, renovate an existing venue on Beach Street, and create the solid foundation of financial stability which will support broad artistic outreach to the entire Daytona Beach community through one-of-a-kind high quality professional theatre in the heart of historic Beach Street on the edge of the stunning Halifax River.

What makes theatre professional? All artists, which include all technical artists, are paid.

Restaurants and shops abound on Beach Street next to the historic Jackie Robinson Ballpark, home of the Tortugas. The City Commission and businesses on Beach Street are poised for an expansion of night-time activity and hungry for the opportunity to serve more residents and visitors. Having been a part of downtown redevelopment in several regions (Asheville, Webster Groves, & Kirkwood), we know that a thriving night-time arts scene inevitably attracts new businesses and encourages existing locally-owned businesses to flourish. We want to be a part of making Beach Street a local and tourist hotspot for years to come.

14 years ago, Daytona Beach had over 48,000 residents attend a professional theatre performance in Volusia County. Daytona has grown by over 10% since then and we have been missing the inspiration and plain-old fun of high-quality live professional theatre. Help us bring back professional theatre and create a new tradition so it never goes away again!

Thank you for your donation and Setting The Stage for Beach Street Repertory Theatre to create high-quality professional live theatre in Daytona Beach and support the growth of commerce and retail on historic Beach Street. No donation is too small or too large. Every penny will help and be appreciated. We welcome you into our collective. Join us as we usher in a new era of the arts in Volusia County!
